Edible silver leaf is a high quality Italian product made exclusively with pure silver.

Gold Chef pure silver leaf is suitable for food use in compliance with the provisions of current regulations in the countries in which it is used(*). It is produced in the Giusto Manetti Battiloro factory located in Florence(Italy), notified to the competent Health Authorities (registration no. CE IT AAE 090 5).

Real silver leaf is edible and certified as a food product because it is manufactured in compliance with GMP (General Manufacturing Purpose) regulations in the Giusto Manetti Battiloro plant in Campi Bisenzio, Florence-Italy, which is approved for food production under Health Authorization no. CE IT AAE 090 5.

All Gold Chef products comply with Italian and European legal standards, do not contain allergens, are not produced with adjuvants and/or materials of animal origin. Edible silver leaf sheets and other varieties of edible silver and edible gold are also certified for use in Kosher cuisine. The origin and processing of the precious metal are guaranteed by Giusto Manetti Battiloro, a historic company that has been working gold leaf in Florence since 1600.

Thanks to its versatility edible silver leaf can be used for new creations or interpretations of traditional recipes. Enveloping and brilliant, the leaf elegantly covers cakes and chocolates (*), lending itself to different culinary styles.
