Unlike other golds and silvers – edible, but processed in spaces that are not specifically dedicated to the production of food – Gold Chef is a real food product with a guarantee, suitable for food use in compliance with the provisions of the current provisions of the countries in which it is used (*). The Gold Chef signed gold and silver are produced in the Giusto Manetti Battiloro factory located in Florence (Italy), notified to the competent Health Authorities (registration no. CE IT AAE 090 5), in full compliance with the European Community regulations on food production. The quality of the products is also ensured by a production process certified according to the international standard FSSC 22000:2020 and by Giusto Manetti Battiloro’s four hundred years of history.

The Gold Chef edible gold and silver products are produced by Giusto Manetti Battiloro, a leading company in the production of gold and silver leaf.
The Manetti family has been practising the noble art of goldbeating for more than four hundred years. Goldbeaters were craftsmen who, even in ancient times, knew how to transform an ingot into gold leaf so thin that it was almost impalpable. Since 1600, fifteen generations of Manettis have combined artisan tradition and technological innovation to guarantee the highest quality and reliability.
WHEN QUALITY IS A CERTAINTY
The Gold Chef product line is made from controlled, certified raw materials (every single batch of gold comes exclusively from countries with no human rights violations for the gold supply). The Gold Chef signed gold comes only from responsible sources and is 100% natural as the raw materials are all of mineral origin. All processing is carried out in Florence, in a production facility in possession of the Italian health authorization for the production and trade of food additives. The entire process, which is subject to 10 distinct control stages, is carried out in full compliance with Regulations 1333/2008 and 231/2012 of the European Union.
NOT JUST EDIBLE(*)
In order to be used in the food industry, edible gold must have a minimum gold content of 90% (corresponding to gold with a purity of at least 21.6 carats), a silver content not exceeding 7% and a copper content not exceeding 4%. Gold Chef Gold is 23kt gold, therefore even more pure than required by law, and – unlike the edible gold that is available on the market from other manufacturers – it does not contain copper, a metal that is harmful to the body.
Also, according to European legislation, silver must be 99.5% pure. Gold Chef silver is 100% pure.
TASTELESS AND UNPERCEPTABLE ON THE PALATE
Gold Chef silver is 100% pure. Gold Chef gold is produced without the use of copper. The choice not to use copper is a guarantee of excellent quality. The gold is hypo-allergenic and has no trace of a metallic taste. The absence of copper, moreover, makes it possible for Giusto Manetti Battiloro to make the gold in the thinnest thicknesses on the market and to make sure the powder, crumbs, flakes and gold leaf are absolutely imperceptible to the palate.
NATURAL AND KOSHER CERTIFIED
The Gold Chef signed gold and silver products are produced without the use of raw materials of animal origin and without food allergen. Gold Chef products are 100% natural as the raw materials are all of mineral origin.
Gold Chef edible silver and edible gold are also certified as suitable for use in Kosher kitchens.
The gold in the Gold Chef product line is traced and responsible and comes exclusively from countries where there are no human rights violations for gold procurement.
